The Regulatory Action Group is targeted at people who are involved and/or interested in shaping policies and regulations to promote renewable energies.
The aim of the Regulatory Action Group is
· to share information and knowledge among interested stakeholders;
· to give input into the elaboration of the Regional Regulatory Action Plan (RRAP); and
· to give input into other provincial and national policy developments.
In order to facilitate the achievement of these aims, this platform provides the following features:
A Download Area provides draft documents of ongoing project activities (e.g. scope of work and draft chapters of the RRAP), provincial and national (draft) policy documents, as well as papers providing information on different policy and regulatory approaches. All of these documents could form the basis for inputs in the Discussion Forum.
The Discussion Forum is split into three sections. The first one provides participants with the opportunity to give input into ongoing project activities. Currently, comments on the RRAP scope of work are requested. This involves, amongst others, ideas regarding the features of a process map for wind energy development (which includes all necessary permissions, applications, contactable authorities, etc); input into pro-active wind energy planning; financing; Standard Power Purchase Agreements; small scale feed-in tariffs; etc.
The second sub-forum is reserved for comments on provincial and national policy developments. These comments could form the basis for joint submissions to the entity responsible for the respective initiative.
Finally, a section has been created for further information exchange and discussions.
Every registered user is able to add comments in the Discussion Forum and download documents from the Download Area. Should you wish to upload a document or add information to the Events and News sections, please contact the administrator Birgit Moiloa at
